My Approach
“land of Genghis Khan”
Mongolia carries the spirit of Genghis Khan, and you can sense that powerful heritage in its people and landscapes. As someone from India, I found myself observing faces and features with curiosity. At moments, I felt a quiet connection; at others, pure wonder. There was pride, excitement, and a depth of emotion I still struggle to put into words.

My Approach
“somewhere i belong”
On my first afternoon in Mongolia, I visited Terelj National Park. There, I saw a young boy. We couldn’t speak because of the language barrier, but something about him felt deeply familiar.
Growing up in the mountains, I always dreamed of becoming a horseman. Looking at him, I felt like I was seeing a version of myself , the life I once imagined.
That’s why this picture means so much to me. Every time I see it, I return to that quiet, emotional moment.

My Approach
” trapped “
I know I’m a little crazy , I don’t always think wisely. After days of riding on asphalt, I suddenly took a gravel trail that was supposed to lead to Lake Khövsgöl. I was simply chasing adventure.
Two days later, I found myself in a remote place, staying with a nomadic family who owned nearly a thousand horses. There was no common language between us. It was raining, and I tried using signs and gestures to ask if the weather would get worse and whether it would be a problem for my ride. We couldn’t truly understand each other.
The next morning, the sky cleared. I continued toward Lake Khövsgöl and reached around midnight.
It was a story of misjudgment and miscommunication , yet also one of raw beauty. No shared words, only hands, eyes, and simple gestures to ask for food, shelter, and trust. In that silence, I experienced one of the purest forms of human connection.

My Approach
” hungry afternoon “
It was July, and I was cycling through the rainy northeastern region, just before reaching Lake Khövsgöl. The landscape felt romantic , wild shapes, open land, and dramatic clouds shifting above me. You could look at the sky and imagine anything you wanted your life to become.
It was one of the happiest moments of my journey. I was exhausted and very hungry, yet I still stopped to capture this picture , because some moments are worth more than comfort.
